National Blacksmith Competition

The National Blacksmith Competition compliments and runs alongside the regional Blacksmith Competitions held at County Shows throughout the Show season. The overall Winner and Runner up of each Show’s Live Forging and Static competitions are put forward into a separate National Competition which is then awarded by the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths.

The National Blacksmiths Competition Committee (NBCC) is assembled to support National Blacksmith Competition, Blacksmiths and the craft of Blacksmithing.

We do this through structured, accountable guidance offered to participating Blacksmith Competitions. Our service is overseen and backed by the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths (WCOB).  Our aims are to raise public awareness of Blacksmiths and their Craft, whilst providing a public platform for individual Blacksmiths to showcase their best work and promote their businesses, improve communication and social relationships between individual Blacksmiths, act as a conduit for education and promotion of traditional skills, craft knowledge and design.
